Contests in Toastmasters

Each year, several contests are held in order for Toastmasters to gain more experience in speaking in public. Awards are given for outstanding performance in several areas including:

Table Topics - The ability to speak on short notice on any topic is an ability that can help tremendously in day-to-day activities.

Tall Tales - The ability to tell a tall tale.

International Speech - A speech, normally serious, which is original.

Humorous Speech - An original humorous speech is one of the most enjoyable activities for meetings.

Evaluation Contest - An evaluation of a prepared speech.
